I had the most amazing experience at Tropikal restaurant. The customer service was exceptional and the food was so good I had dinner there for my entire weekend. My recommendation is the grill fish with rice and peas and plantains...THE BEST FISH I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE . Great food
Delicious Caribbean food in the heart of Byward Market. I especially loved the jerk wings and the mac and cheese. Deep flavours and good bang for your buck. Nathan was very friendly and prompt with the service. Recommended!
Went here last night for a new years dinner and everything was so great. The food was amazing especially the lobster pasta and the cookie ice cream dessert. The staff are great too everyone was so attentive and always asked if we needed anything. The food was also always brought fast and hot. The music was great too and their decor is super cute. 100% recommend this place and would come here again.
The setting in this place is beautiful, the breakfast wrap was excellent and so tasty! Love the vibes here and their cocktail was sweet but so good! Been here day and night, both are a great time. Definitely recommend.

Chrissy was incredible - warm, attentive and made us feel right at home. The food was phenomenal - flavorful, beautifully presented, and every bite was better than the last. The atmosphere was lively and the whole evening felt like a celebration. The staff were kind, professional and welcoming. First time trying Tropikal and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We had the jerk chicken wings, shrimp tacos, and jerk chicken with fries — every bite was mouthwatering. The flavors were perfectly balanced with just the right kick of heat and touch of sweetness. Everything came out fresh and hot, and the spot was seriously stunning! Can’t wait to go back!
Fantastic experience at Tropikal! The food was amazing, beautiful complex Caribbean flavours (thanks Chef Jimmy!). They are also super allergen conscious. In terms of cocktails, wow! Such fun options with a lot of complex notes and techniques, and it really shows in the quality in the drinks! Big thanks to their mixoligist Kenny for also making us some unique creations and sharing the process with us, truly blown away.
